Can anyone be my guarantor?

A guarantor can be someone who trusts you to repay the loan.

Guarantors are usually friends, parents and other family members, but there are plenty of other people who you can ask such as colleagues or neighbours. They will just need to meet a few requirements. They must:

  • Be a UK Homeowner (either the house they live in, or another which they own – mortgaged or outright)
  • Meet our current age requirements
  • Be in receipt of a regular income that is provable.
  • Have a good credit status
