Average Holiday Cost
It seems like every single year, the price of everything goes up. Whether that’s due to inflation or the economic climate, it can feel like we’re paying more for pretty much everything. And now, with summer here, we look to how much holidays aboard will cost us.
We’ve compiled data for this infographic, from NimbleFins’ data, to show you how much, on average, you might be spending on your holiday this year. We’ve included, flights, hotels and spending money (which covers your food, drink and entertainment while away). Find out how much your holiday could cost you this summer.
Flights
Estimated to be around £187 per person, on average, flights are what you’ll be spending the least on to get away this summer – in comparison to spending money and hotels. Your return flights from and back to the UK aren’t too pricey – however, this is an average – and it does depend on location.
Hotels
Staying in a hotel for 9 nights will cost, again on average, around £228 per person. According to Nimble Fins, your hotel should cost roughly over £25 a night – again, dependent where you stay. If you want to splash out for a 5* Hotel, it’s going to cost more…
Spending Money
You’ll need around £497 per person, for food, drink and to keep yourselves entertained. This will include your poolside beverages and lunches, as well as going out at night – or any family activities you may have planned. It’s estimated that you’ll need on average £497 per person.
And that’s it. Your holiday is likely to cost around £912 per person in total – that’s including flights, hotels and spending money too. Don’t think you can afford it right now? Have no fear! If you’re looking to finance a holiday, fast, you should consider getting a guarantor loan. These loans are ideal for those with bad or no credit history. All you need is a guarantor to support your application and agree that should you be unable to make repayment; your guarantor will cover it for you.
Guarantor loans have pretty quick pay-outs, so you could jump on that plane faster than you thought. As they are personal loans, they can be used for pretty much anything (as long as it’s legal). So, you can use yours to get away this summer!
